■About Kita Koarikui
The northern coaliqui is found in tropical and subtropical forests, but it also inhabits grasslands with mangroves and trees, and its range is wide, extending from Mexico in the north to northern Peru in the south.
They have a long tubular snout and a long, sticky tongue. The body appears to be wearing a bold black vest over beige fur, which draws a pronounced "V" along the spine.
They eat both ants and termites, but ants make up one-third of the diet, and the amount amounts to about 9,000 per day.
The northern coa-lik has a strong tail that allows it to grasp objects, and it is used to wrap around the trunk and branches when climbing trees, and to support its body when standing up on two legs.
