■About Java Rhino
The Javanese rhinoceros is the most endangered of the five species of rhinos, with only about 70 individuals living in Ujung Klong National Park in Java, Indonesia. Javanese rhinos used to live in northeastern India and Southeast Asia, but the last one in Vietnam was poached in 2010.
The body color of the Javan rhinoceros is dark gray, with a single horn that can grow up to about 25 cm. The skin has multiple loose folds that look like armor. Their appearance is very similar to their larger relatives, the horned rhinoceros, but the Javan rhinoceros has a very small head than them, and the skin folds are less noticeable.
