■ About the sloth
Sloths live in a wide range of Central and South America, including Brazil, Paraguay and Ecuador. Its range includes lowland tropical forests, cloud forests, semi-deciduous forests and montane tropical forests.
Like other sloths, they have long limbs and a relatively small head, but they can be clearly distinguished from other species by their brown fur and raised corners of their mouths, as if they are always smiling.
During the rainy season, they may appear greenish due to the blue-green algae growing in their hair.
