■About kangaroos
Kangaroos live in eastern Australia.
They live in small groups, usually consisting of 50 or more. When threatened, they warn them by slamming their strong legs into the ground, and when fighting enemies, they may kick and bite them.
Kangaroos have strong hind legs, a long, strong tail, and small front legs. With its large legs, it can jump about 30 feet (9 meters) in a single jump and travel at speeds of over 30 miles (48 km/h). When jumping, use its strong tail to balance.
