The coffee from La Reforma is grown according to El Borborón's high-quality production standards, which have been in place for more than 100 years (the processing plant was founded in 1985).
This lot is the highest altitude in the farm, and it is a Bourbon variety that uses only coffee with high scores.
By using African beds and patios, we are able to dry the coffee cherries not too late and not too early, and we try to dry the coffee cherries while fermenting them moderately.
Natural, reminiscent of berries and cherries.
In light roasting, it has a fruity moderate acidity and aroma.
In deep roasting, you can taste the pleasant sweetness and astringency of heavy red wine.
La Former Farm was founded in 1892 by Rafael Álvarez Lalinde. The coffee brought by Colombian immigrants has spread widely in this part of El Salvador. The farm management for four generations is still being carried out steadily, and it continues with the involvement of neighboring farmers. We grow only Bourbon varieties. Although the Bourbon variety is vulnerable to rust disease, the whole family works together to manage the cultivation and strive every day to produce high-quality coffee. Thanks to his efforts, he has a history of finishing third in the Cup of Excellence.
We will take your order and roast it, so you can always have fresh beans at your fingertips.
