What is Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS)?
It is an acute disease caused by a toxin produced by Staphylococcus aureus. Staphylococcus aureus is also present in the nasal cavity, skin, hair, armpits, pubic hair, vagina, etc., and can be caused by cuts and burns, regardless of whether or not a menstrual cup is used. In very rare cases, it can cause serious symptoms that can lead to death.
When using, it is said that if your hands and fingers are not clean, if you use it for a long time, or if you forget to take it out, Staphylococcus aureus will multiply and produce toxins more easily.
To reduce the likelihood of causing TSS, be sure to observe the following:
▲ The use of the sanitary cup should not exceed 8 hours.
▲ Do not use if you sleep for more than 8 hours.
▲ Use soap before insertion and wash the cup and hands thoroughly.
▲ If you have developed TSS in the past, do not use it.
▲ Do not use if there is a strange odor in the secretion.
▲ Do not use if you are allergic to silicone.
