I made slippers out of a very durable original Takashima canvas of jute and cotton.
Refreshing and perfect for days when you take a bath or sweat.
You can wash it with a scourer, so you can sweat a lot, dry it in the sun, and use it heavily.
If you continue to wear it for a while, the shape will become familiar to your feet.
USE UNUSED PROJECT ~Limited quantity series made from idle materials~
Taking advantage of the land where moderate moisture is carried by the wind from the shores of Lake Biwa, we use "Takashima canvas", which has developed industrial canvas.
The casual stripes developed for bags and miscellaneous goods are stiffer than ordinary canvas by using 100% cotton for the warp and jute for the weft, and are characterized by a natural nep.
This time, it has been reborn as slippers. The natural, durable and fleshy fabric suits bare feet.
Features of jute: Jute, which is often used in bags of coffee beans and the back of carpets, is a fiber that is resistant to insects and has excellent breathability and antibacterial effects. Jute itself has a rough, prickly, and hard texture, and it is not used on clothes because it feels bad on the skin.
The jute of TKJ slippers is smooth because there is a lot of cotton on the warp thread on the surface. While retaining the original breathability and deodorant properties of jute, it feels comfortable even if you wear it barefoot after taking a bath.
