LA MÈRE POULARD
In 1888, in order to entertain Catholics visiting Mont Mr./Ms.=Michel, Mother Mr./Ms.Prahl (La Mer Praal), who runs a restaurant and inn in the area, baked delicious sweets with all her heart for pilgrims to carry. The candy was called Lucky Charm and gained a great reputation. That is the origin of La Mer Praal, which still exists today. Mr./Ms.'s recipe has been passed down to this day.
