Commitment to the product
Who are supporting us?
After World War II, the Netherlands was freed from the Nazi yoke by the Allies. However, there was no organized resistance movement, and the Dutch were liberated by the hands of other countries, and there was a feeling of depression in their hearts. It was a sense of regret and embarrassment that we had not been able to win liberation on our own. Owner pastry chef Roden Reiss, who runs a confectionery shop in the city of Delft, also known as the fabric of the painter Vermeer, took on the challenge of making original sweets to comfort and cheer up the hearts of such Dutch people. The idea is to create a baked confectionery using Gouda cheese, which is loved by the locals, but even if you try existing recipes and their arrangements, you will not succeed in developing a confectionery that you can be proud of as being from Delft. I folded and layered the thinly stretched puff pastry and Gouda cheese, baked it, and repeated the process over and over again. And finally, I was able to make something that I was satisfied with! By the time I realized that, the fabric had reached 90 layers. Dubbed Roca Cheese Krispies, the snack quickly became a hit and sold out almost every day, with customers coming from far and wide to buy it. In that year of 1949, Roca helped restore the pride of the Dutch people.
There are two types of cheese used in Roca: Gouda cheese from the Netherlands and cheddar from the United Kingdom, which is loved all over the world. Cheddar cheese loca is added with the addition of black pepper and onion.
Gouda cheese is a semi-hard cheese native to the Netherlands and is characterized by its mild and rich aroma.
Cheddar cheese is a hard cheese native to the United Kingdom. It has a rich taste that has been aged for a long time.
The cheese content reaches 30% of the total, and you can enjoy the rich cheese flavor.
Commitment to the product
Roca does not contain sugar, fructose or glucose. It is a product for adults who enjoy the aroma of cheese and pepper without sweetness. The amount of sugars contained in the average serving amount (30g) per serving is as low as 0.2g~0.3g. It is ideal for people who are concerned about their blood sugar levels or who are on a carbohydrate-restricted diet.
Roca is often "when you drink beer" in Dutch and Belgian bars, and the French drink it with wine. Cheddar onion goes well with white wines and lager beers, while cheddar and black pepper go well with heavier red wines and ale beers. This product also does not choose the type of business such as retail stores and restaurants. The buyers are men and women in their 20s and older.
