I want to make a cola that my grandmother can drink! The impetus for the development of craft cola
Currently, my father-in-law runs a real estate business in Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto City at Kasumi Co., Ltd.
The founder was my grandfather, and his ancestor business was started in Showa 16 with "Kazumi Shoten", which sells goods and beverages.
Nowadays, the curtain has been drawn on soft drinks, and the founder's grandfather has already passed away, but his partner, his grandmother, is alive and well, and from that background, I often had the opportunity to drink cola.
However, my grandmother, who will be 88 years old this year, had difficulty drinking all of her Coke, and she often took only one sip and threw it away.
As I watched it from the side, I thought, "Let's make a cola that my grandmother can drink!" and started developing a cola that my grandmother could drink, making use of my qualifications as a dietary advisor and vegetable sommelier.
It took more than half a year to complete the recipe! Development woes
First of all, we started with an existing craft cola survey.
To find out what kind of manufacturers there are, what kind of ingredients they use, and what kind of characteristics they have, we ordered a lot of craft cola and held many tasting sessions.
After that, we will start procuring raw materials and developing recipes in our home kitchen.
I should have researched it well, drank it many times, and knew the taste, but the first time I made it, the color was white and to be honest, I couldn't taste it at all.
It's so sad and frustrating that I'm going to make an absolutely delicious craft cola! The feeling became stronger, and every time I reviewed everything from reviewing the ingredients to the slight change in the amount of blending and the amount of heat, I was able to make more and more delicious craft cola, and it took me more than half a year to complete the recipe.
