〈 TATEYAMA GIN EXPERIMENT FOREST ---あわの森--- 〉
I took on the challenge of making a gin mainly from botanicals collected in the forest near Tateyama.
The three cities and one town of Minamiboso City, Kamogawa City, and Kōnan Town, including Tateyama City, are called the Awa area.
This time, we are focusing on the following botanicals collected in this area.
・Hinoki
・Cedar
・Kuromoji
・Yabu Nikkei
・Shiso
In particular, Japanese cedar is mainly produced in the Yamamu area of Chiba Prefecture, and Yabu Nikkei is a species that lives only in a limited area with a warm climate.
These botanicals are finished with juniper berries, as well as angelica root and black pepper ginger.
Feel the scent of the leaves collected in the Awa Forest and enjoy the aftertaste of the shiso that escapes at the end.
