I didn't think it would be particularly difficult.
In order for "nice adults" to be "more nice",
Is it that I'm looking for "something" that I can do?
While the blade craftsmen who sew straw hats are aging and the inheritance of skills is in danger,
I decided to train under a master with wonderful skills.
It was the beginning of my career as a hatmaker.
Starting from the idea and idea of the design,
Not only sewing, but also molding, gluing, and trimming, all processes can be done by yourself.
I think this is where my strength lies.
Even so, there are always many wonderful encounters and collaborations in important places.
I always try not to miss something that strikes a chord even in the slightest.
Indigo grown on abandoned farmland in Odawara is harvested, and the raw leaf-dyed wheat blades dyed on the spot are made into a soft and gentle colored hat.
The hemp dyed with tea leaves and branches discarded during pruning subtly changed color each time, creating a silver hat.
After a lot of trial and error, I continue to make hats every day, relying on a lot of failures and a few successes.
Hoping that the "nice adults" are "even nicer".
