Indigo Leaf Hand-Dyed Wheat Blade
Teardrop
< Feature 1>
The wheat blade was hand-dyed with raw indigo leaves, and then sewn with two types of plain wheat blades.
The edging of the brim is also dyed with indigo leaves.
It's a time-consuming process, but I think it's a unique hat.
< Feature 2>
Wheat is a natural material, so you can wear it very coolly.
<A word from the craftsman about this work>
Picking the fresh leaves of indigo grown on abandoned farmland in Odawara,
I made it with dyed wheat blades right away.
I won't go into it because it's long, but it's a work that was born out of a wonderful encounter.
The so-called "indigo dyeing" uses fermented indigo.
The fresh leaves were dyed in a different gentle color.
It is "stitched together" in an exquisite balance with plain wheat blades.
It is made into a one-of-a-kind hat in the world.
