■ About taste
The characteristics of each Asian coffee bean are mixed, and it is rich yet mild and satisfying. The bittersweet taste of coffee is followed by sweetness, and it is truly a bitter mild coffee. You can feel the savory aroma of cacao and chocolate and the nostalgic scent of karume yaki.
■ Country of origin of coffee beans
・Philippines (around Baguio, Benguet Province, Cordiliera region) ・・・ Mild feeling
・Myanmar (Yuangan, Shan State) - Sweetness
・Timor-Leste (Renumata Village, Retefoho, Ermera Province) - Body and fragrance
・Thailand (Chiang Mai Khun Tae) ・・・ Sweet and sour taste
■ 3 features
1. Conform to Fair Trade
SISAM COFFEE, the main bean in the blend, is a Filipino fair trade coffee that follows fair trade standards. For other beans, we provide support so that producers can continue to grow coffee with peace of mind in a form that is as close to fair trade as possible.
2. Ecological and healthy
At farms in each country, we are working on sustainable cultivation methods with low environmental impact, such as agroforestry (forest farming) and the absence of chemical fertilizers. Not only does it protect the forest ecosystem, but it also protects the health of the producers who work on the coffee plantations every day, as well as ensuring that consumers can eat it with peace of mind.
3. Sticking to "neighborhood"
The coffee beans are produced in the Codiliera region of the Philippines, which is well known for SISAM COFFEE, as well as Asian countries such as Myanmar, Thailand, and Timor-Leste. In addition, the roasting and blending is handled by the Sakanonaka and Umi no Muko Coffee Division, which has a roastery in Kyoto, which is the same as Shisam Kobo, and makes use of the connection of "neighbor (= neighbor)".
In addition, the goodness of the neighborhood is also reflected in the aspect of food mileage, such as reducing energy consumption and costs due to the shorter transportation distance compared to ordinary coffee.
