This is a domestic oolong tea made with organic Uji tea grown in Wazuka Town, Kyoto Prefecture.
In the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture, surrounded by mountains on all sides, Wazuka Town is known as a famous production area for Uji sencha tea, and is also known as the "tea source town" because of its landscape.
Michio Nakai, the sixth generation of Nakai Tea Factory, who has been producing tea here for more than 350 years for seven generations, began organic and pesticide-free cultivation in the 1980s.
In the early 1990s, he traveled to Hsinchu, Taiwan many times to learn how to make authentic oolong tea, learned the manufacturing method, and ordered the local manufacturing equipment to Japan to start making oolong tea using organic Uji tea.
It is a very rare tea that is produced only on sunny days with a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius or more, producing about 100~200 kg per day.
It has a low-fermentation, fragrant, refreshing, and sweet taste, and is an oolong tea for Japanese people that goes well with both Japanese and Western foods.
In addition to brewing with hot water, cold brew tea is also easy and recommended.
Use 1 tea bag in 500ml of cold water overnight to enjoy.
