Who are supporting us?
The story begins with JA Lees Farm, a small farm that grew vegetables and organic oyster mushrooms in Indan City, Philippines.
Jeannie Leeds, the current CEO, had a strong desire to "make snacks that can be given to her children with peace of mind," and after repeated trial and error, she was finally able to arrive at a taste and texture that she was satisfied with.
We started selling it in a small local market, and now we have gained a lot of support from health-conscious people around the world, not only in the Philippines, but also in Europe, the United States, Canada, Singapore, and other countries.
Aim as a seller "Mitsurindo"
Unlike the image of a long time ago, many sophisticated new products have been created from Southeast Asia recently. Many of them are particular about local ingredients or have been reborn as new products by devising foods rooted in tradition and culture. Discovering and disseminating such unique products is one of the themes of Mitsurindo's activities. Chicharrone, a snack that originally fry pork skin in lard, is replaced with fiber-rich, low-calorie oyster mushrooms and fried in coconut oil, a Philippine specialty, and mushroom chicharrones are perfect for such a theme.
Commitment to the product
Although not certified, oyster mushrooms are grown in organic manner and fried in locally harvested coconut oil. Although coconut oil is more expensive than general vegetable oil, it is cholesterol-free, good for the body, and is supported as a product that will lead to the promotion of local industry.
Of the six flavors, the original (salt and pepper), garlic and chili are all made from natural ingredients.
