Elementary and junior high school students don't have a choice when it comes to "menstruation"!
When I started to be aware of my daughter's puberty, I asked my mom friend who has a slightly older daughter what the current menstrual situation is like for her children. When I asked, I was told that at school, they don't change napkins all day, they substitute tissues instead of buying napkins, and even if they have menstrual problems, they can't talk to anyone. I came to know the reality of this.
In addition, many children use napkins and tissues on days when they don't need them, no matter what they do when they come today, and I realized once again that menstruation is not the only thing to worry about during menstruation.
I didn't want my child to spend his school life with such problems, so I started developing it.
While it is said that "Japan is lagging behind in sex education," there is no end to the number of sexual crimes committed by elementary and junior high school students. Every time you hear such news, you may have a discussion with adults and mom friends about what to do. I was one of them.
If your daughter is in trouble, you want to help her and protect her from the worst situation. However, no matter how much information you have, if you can't communicate, you won't be able to solve it.
I want to help mothers who "want to but can't" when they feel that they are not good at sex education or have misunderstandings.
FOLLG. was launched with the aim of connecting mothers and sex education from multiple perspectives. First of all, we developed the sanitary shorts "wellme" so that we can talk about sex with girls who have reached their periods. This product is full of moms' experiences, failures, and things they want to convey.
We support mothers in their first steps
FOLLG. aims to create a society where "for-all-girls can grow up to be all-good."
