Kyoto Narumiya is a Kyoto Arare specialty store that was founded in the 12th year of the Taisho era by the first Saburo Narumi as an independent from the long-established "Narumi Mochi Honten" that sells mochi and Japanese sweets. The lineage of "connoisseurs of mochi" has not changed even after 100 years, and it supports our manufacturing.
For us, rice and rice cakes are the life of manufacturing. And the tradition of Kyo Arare that makes use of it by transforming it into a confectionery. We will not forget our origins, and we will pursue true deliciousness with our feet on the ground.
"Thinking from rice, enjoying from rice, aiming to be a creative factory"
And we will not rest on our laurels for 100 years, but will continue to take on challenges. By combining rice and various other good things from all over Japan with the techniques of making Kyoto arare and modern sensibilities, we can create a deliciousness that we can be proud of not only in Japan but also in the world. With pride as a "maker" in our hearts, we will open up the possibilities of rice confectionery while connecting with various other "makers".
Looking at the values that will continue for the next 100 years. "Thinking from rice, enjoying from rice, creative factory" is what we are aiming for.
