Ekobito Farm is engaged in a variety of initiatives to realize "nature- and people-friendly agriculture." First of all, in the production of sesame oil, we manage everything from sowing to harvesting, oil extraction, filling, and shipping. During cultivation, no pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used, and no herbicides or disinfections are used. By focusing on soil preparation and growing healthy soil, we bring out the original powerful vitality of sesame seeds.
In the oil extraction process, the "raw pressing method" is adopted, which does not add any heat. This ensures that the omega-3 fatty acids (α-linolenic acid) abundant in sesame oil are not destroyed, but still deliver the fresh flavor and nutrition as it is. We do not use any additives such as preservatives or antioxidants, and are manufactured under thorough quality control. In 2022, we also obtained organic JAS certification, creating products that can be enjoyed with more peace of mind.
In addition to sesame oil, we are also focusing on developing new products using sesame seeds and leaves. For example, the additive-free "Raw Honey Gummies" are popular as a gentle snack that combines raw honey harvested from their own farm with jabara juice from Saga Prefecture to make the most of the taste of the ingredients. Through these product developments, we value conveying the charm of sesame seeds to the fullest and delivering the blessings of nature to our daily dining tables.
We will pursue sustainable agriculture from the perspective of the SDGs and will not forget to consider local communities and the environment. We will continue to take on challenges to protect the future of agriculture.
