◆ Production area introduction The locality is located in northwestern Rwanda, on the shores of Lake Kivu, adjacent to Volkan National Park and the habitat of wild mountain gorillas. Highland at an altitude of 1480m~1500m. Producer: KOPAKAMA is a coffee growers' cooperative in which women are actively participating. Many of the original founding members in 1998 lost their husbands in the 1994 conflict. In order to revive the broken lives and communities, the members worked together to make high-quality coffee. Since the genocide in 1994, Rwanda has been working hard to improve the quality of coffee with the support of the United States, with the aim of reviving its sluggish coffee production as a means of earning foreign currency as a country.
