A mushy curry with a rich flavor. A shop of "original Kanazawa curry" founded in Showa 36. It is known as a familiar presence in Hokuriku, but in fact, it has a history of more than 60 years.
Its predecessor, "Western-style Tanaka", was founded in 1961. It changed from a Western-style restaurant to a curry specialty restaurant, and has since changed its trade name to the present day.
The most distinctive feature is the rich curry sauce with a mushy texture and a deep brown hue. Vegetables and meat are boiled and melted, and it has a profound taste that is not found in general curry.
The history of Kanazawa curry began with a recipe devised by our founder, Yoshikazu Tanaka. Curry restaurants based on Tanaka's recipes have been established one after another since the 1960s.
