◆About the creator "Holy Land Handicrafts Cooperative Society"
It is the oldest member of the World Fair Trade Federation (WFTO) in the Middle East, established to protect the traditional crafts and craftsmen of the region. Working hand in hand with a small workshop and an office that serves as a window to overseas, we protect the livelihoods of about 2,000 people in the town. The base is a town called Bethlehem in the West Bank of Palestine.
Our store purchases products by communicating directly with office staff Amira and Basma.
◆Why fair trade with Palestine?
The owner visited Palestine when he was a student and experienced a homestay, and soon became captivated by Palestine, which has a deep history, warm people, and delicious food.
If you think about it, it's obvious, but when you see news information, it seems that people living there are getting farther and farther away. No, no, I wanted to tell them that this is a wonderful place, so I decided to deal with handicrafts that embody life and culture.
We will bring to you the breath of the people living in this region, which has historically been covered by the fact that Palestine is now in an increasingly difficult situation, with the warmth of handicrafts.
