A bowl of rice bowls made for MINO DONBURI. The calm and deep green glaze and the two-tiered brush grain are full of craftsmanship. The rim of the mouth, which is slightly curved outward, is taken care of by the owner so that the juice is easy to drink. It is a bowl that I would like to recommend to soba lovers.
■ Shotoen
Shotoen stands in a lonely place in Dachi-cho, Toki City.
Slipware, which is made one by one, is a rare technique in Mino ware. With the experience, sensitivity, and inquisitive spirit of the owner, the people who skillfully manipulate the soil, glaze, and technique are all things that gently accompany modern life.
