🔳 Various Uses 🔳
Savon de Marseille is gentle on the skin and environmentally friendly.
Because it's simple, it can be used in many ways.
This time, we will introduce how to use the traditional Savon de Marseille, along with tips and tricks. We've also added recommended ways to use Sabonerie du Midi, so be sure to give it a try.
(1) For body cleansing (as the original purpose of soap)
"Can it be used on the face?" "Is it for the body?" We often get this question, but at Savon de Marseille, you can wash not only your body but also your entire face.
Use sufficiently lathered soft foam to wash your skin carefully without rubbing. While removing dirt, it doesn't wash away excess sebum, leaving your skin fresh and hydrated after washing. For light natural makeup, it can also be used as a makeup remover.
(2) For cleansing hair and scalp
For short hair, it can be used as shampoo. Compared to powerful shampoos, it does not damage the scalp. Depending on hair type, if you experience crinkling after rinsing, some customers may use over-the-counter natural treatments or citric acid rinses.
(3) For shavers
You can whip Savon de Marseille and use it as a shave cream.
(4) For cleaning clothes
When removing stains that are difficult to remove with regular washing (such as juice or oil stains), rub Savon de Marseille directly with a small amount of water on the stained area. After that, wash it in the washing machine as usual. Most stains will come off.
(5) For washing delicate materials
Add a little soap base to lukewarm water and mix well, then place delicate materials like lingerie inside and leave it for 2~3 hours. Unless there are noticeable stains, do not rub; rinse and dry. It won't damage your clothes more than washing them in a regular washing machine. Finely shaving solid soap before adding it makes it easier to dilute it.
(6) For caring for leather shoes and sneakers
Apply Savon de Marseille to a brush and gently and carefully scrub the shoes, focusing on the dirty areas. Rinse with cold water, and if dirt persists, repeat carefully. After rinsing last, all that's left is to let it dry.
(7) For cleaning makeup brushes, sponges, and similar items
Wet the brush, gently wash and dry Savon de Marseille with carefully lathered foam. Dirt comes off cleanly, and the brush area also gains shine.
(8) As a Plant Care
When gardening, spraying Sabon-de-Marseille dissolved water on plants makes it less likely for pests to pick up. Highly biodegradable and environmentally friendly, Savon de Marseille acts as a natural insect repellent.
