It is 100% unrefined shea butter from shea seeds.
It is a highly moisturizing cream that contains natural vitamins A and E.
It has a buttery feel that melts at body temperature, and can be used by people with atopy, sensitive, and dry skin, from newborns to the elderly.
What is the difference between unrefined shea butter and refined shea butter? 】
In order to make a uniform product, refined shea butter is used in cosmetics containing shea butter, which is chemically treated with chemicals such as hexane during the extraction and refining process to remove substances that cause oxidation of fats and oils, decolorize the color and aroma, and adjust the ingredients.
Shea butter, which is said to be 100% natural without coloring and fragrance, is generally purified shea butter that has been deodorized and decolorized.
Refined shea butter is white, odorless, and has only fatty acids, so it is stable and easy to process. Therefore, it is suitable for the production of cosmetics on the premise of long-term storage, mass production and mass distribution.
Unrefined shea butter, which is in its natural state, is difficult to commercialize because it has a different color and smell every time.
By refining, impurities (such as fine shea seed fragments) contained in the original material can be removed, and there is no need to question the quality of the raw materials, which is safe for the manufacturer.
However, trace components in shea butter that are beneficial to the skin, such as tocopherols, tritenene alcohol, carotenoids, and allantoin, are also removed along with the color, fragrance, and impurities during purification.
Because I know the goodness of unrefined shea butter, refined shea butter is not distributed in Ghana. Refined shea butter is for foreign countries. Ghanaians do not use refined shea butter as "inferior shea butter with no nutrition".
