<What is George Steuart Tea>
George Steuart is the oldest tea maker in Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon), founded in 1835 by British captain James Steuart. Before the civil war, Sri Lanka was called "Ceylon". Even if you don't understand it in Sri Lanka, you may have heard of "Ceylon Ti".
Even after independence from Britain, the tea culture remained, and the nationalization of tea plantations was planned as a national policy, and the company is deeply involved in the plan.
The beautiful and fertile soil, which has been called the "pearl of the Indian Ocean", was perfect for creating tea gardens. Even now, more than 180 years later, the company's black tea is still made using traditional hand-picked techniques, but little by little new flavors have been developed to suit modern tastes. It is loved all over the world as an innovative long-established store.
In 2014, with the recommendation of the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Japan at the time, official sales began, and it is still a new brand in Japan.
<Why George Steuart Tea>
George Steuart Tea is a prestigious tea that has received a certificate of appreciation from Her Majesty the Queen of England.
It uses 100% tea leaves from Sri Lanka and is made in an integrated manner using traditional techniques. On the other hand, in order to suit the style of modern people, we have a lot of triangle bags and tea bags that you can easily try in addition to the leaf.
There are more than 20 flavors, from standard to original. It is a lineup where you can always find your favorite flavor. In addition, the aroma and flavor are fresh, so you can enjoy it not only straight but also iced tea or milk tea.
Just two years after it was launched in Japan, it was installed in ANA's Business First Class, and the following year, it was adopted in all ANA lounges, steadily increasing its fan base.
