Hundreds of rivers flow into this area, and coffee is grown in a rich natural environment. The name Barajona comes from the Count of Barajona, who stayed here during the Spanish colonial period. It is also said that coffee was first brought to Santo Domingo around 1735 in the eastern part of the Baorco Mountains. The area where Lirios Farm is located is an ideal environment with an average annual temperature of 26°C and an average annual rainfall of 655~2,296mm. It is located at the same latitude as Jamaica's Blue Mountains, and the temperature difference caused by the wind blowing in from the Caribbean Sea slowly ripens the fruit, creating a unique flavor. The region also has reduced the use of chemical fertilizers, manual weed management, and shade tree cultivation methods, resulting in environmentally friendly and sustainable agriculture.
