Introducing a bandana with a musical instrument motif using the ancient woodblock printing technique of Japur in West India. The motif of the instrument is drawn by illustrator Chiaki Suzuki Mr./Ms. of Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City. According to Mr./Ms., "Imagining a mixture of Indian music (virtuoso such as Ravi Shankar and Zakir Hussein) and jazz, I drew illustrations of Western instruments such as saxophone and piano and Indian instruments such as sitar and tabla." To make a wood block print, a woodblock maker first hand-carves Mr./Ms.'s illustration on an ebony block of about 12 cm square, and then the dying craftsman carefully presses the woodblock one by one to dye it. It's a daunting and steady work, but when you pick up the fabric, you can truly feel the handiwork. Please enjoy the shade of ink and slight deviation of blocks. This bandana is 52 cm square and can be used as a large handkerchief or as a scarf as an accent for hair accessories and handbags. There are three colors, Light Grey, Chrome yellow and Teal, and you can enjoy it according to a variety of styles. It is also recommended to keep one in your bag at all times. It can be used as a slightly smaller furoshiki or as a throw.
