Coffee of women's independence and hope delivered from the island of Ijuvi, Congo
Near the border with Rwanda, the beautiful island of Ijuvi floats in Lake Kivu in the Congo. Here, there is a producer group that aims to become independent and is working on coffee cultivation. At an altitude of more than 1,500 meters, the island has many steep slopes that do not allow machinery to enter, so women walk on dirt roads and harvest only ripe beans by hand and picking them by hand. The coffee beans, which are then carefully finished through washed purification, boast high quality and rich flavor.
This initiative is promoted by [Rebuild Women's Hope], which has the slogan of supporting women's independence and active participation, and female producers, led by Marceline, are working hard to grow coffee. The beans they hand-select have few flaws, and when roasted, they produce a high-quality bowl with a gorgeous flavor and an aftertaste without any unpleasant taste.
In light roasting, the gorgeous and clear acidity unique to Africa stands out, allowing you to enjoy a statement of flavor. Roasting a medium-dark roast slightly deeper reduces acidity and adds a cacao-like aroma, giving it a high-quality taste. A full city roast or higher dark roast will have a pleasant aroma of savory nuts and cocoa, resulting in a refreshing aftertaste. It is recommended to taste it straight rather than pairing it with milk or soy milk.
If you entrust the roasting to us, we will deliver it to you with a full city roast. We invite you to enjoy this special cup filled with the hope and pride of Congolese women.
