● Herbal syrup born from an encounter with red pine trees that would be discarded if left as they are due to thinning and pruning in Nagano Prefecture
Phytotherapy that utilizes the bioactive components of plants to help with daily physical and mental health, disease prevention, and recovery periods.
As a phytotherapist, I am fascinated by the diverse characteristics of plants, and although I have used a variety of plants, I have learned that there are plants that are simply discarded, and that there are people who want to find value in them.
Akamatsu is one of them. Many initiatives to utilize unused resources have been announced in the past, but we believe that it is necessary to continue to work on them sustainably and from diverse perspectives, and we thought that a new approach to phytotherapy would be useful.
All plants, including those that would otherwise be discarded, have the power to survive. From the perspective of supporting daily health, we have found a way to utilize it in the "LIFE SYRUP" that was born this time.
● Phytotherapists develop recipes from scratch
The reason why I chose the form of syrup this time was because I wanted to make it easy to use quickly on a daily basis and easy to pick up for those who are new to phytotherapy. It is by no means special, but it is a syrup that is close to daily life so that each person can create an opportunity to take care of their own mind and body.
Representative Manabe, who is a phytotherapist, developed the recipe from scratch. Pine is a plant that has been associated with people's health since ancient times, as it is mentioned in ancient Chinese drug books. It is blended with herbs such as echinacea, which has been attracting attention since the Corona disaster, rosemary, and thyme, which bring out the body's natural health.
We also added ingredients familiar to Japan, such as yuzu and ginger, and were particular about the warm taste. It is a syrup that you should slowly taste the aroma of plants that escapes into your nose when you drink it. In particular, it is recommended to put it in hot water, as it is easy for the scent to rise with the steam.
Sugar, which is an important element that makes up the syrup, is made of unroasted sugar, which has been slowly roasted to lock in minerals. Combined with the characteristics of each plant, it has a rich and deep taste. Dilute 4-5 times with water or hot water and serve.
