Sustainable International Cooperation
Through the sale of hand creams containing shea butter from Burkina Faso, we are engaged in sustainable international cooperation.
Shea butter produced by women in Burkina Faso will be used in hand creams to create more jobs and cash income locally. By increasing the income of each family, we are contributing to an increase in the medical and educational expenses allocated to each individual. In addition, the profits from the sale of hand cream will be used to fund the medical, sanitation, and food assistance of the mother organization, Future Code, as well as the cost of reproducing hand cream. By doing so, we will continue to contribute to poverty reduction and infant mortality in Burkina Faso.
Through these initiatives, hadanisea contributes to the achievement of four SDGs:
1. No Poverty
3. Good health and well-being for all
4. Quality education for all
6. Clean water and sanitation around the world
Hadanisea started with a donation of 3.63 million yen, which was the highest amount of crowdfunding by students at the time. As a result of continuing to work tirelessly, such as giving lectures, introducing activities through newspapers, and calling for understanding in the city, we succeeded in receiving support that exceeded our expectations.
I have been thinking about how to choose hadanisea hand cream from among the many hand creams I have been thinking about every day. Furthermore, after the Corona disaster, I am delighted to be able to tell many people about the current situation in Burkina Faso and international cooperation that anyone can work on. We are exploring and practicing various ways to expand sales channels, such as asking retailers to handle products, posting on social media, and participating in events. As a result, we were certified as a "Kobe Selection 2020" and were evaluated by multiple magazines and newspapers for the attractiveness and activities of our products.
