Our company name "禾" is read as "nogi". It is a general term for grains.
We started as a macrobiotic café, and we were conscious of harmony with nature, awakened to the deliciousness of brown rice vegetarian food, and introduced brown rice vegetarian food with an awareness of delicious, fun, and beautiful.
While serving brown rice vegetarian meals and macrobiotic sweets, I met many children and adult patients with allergies. In the meantime, the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred, and we were sending our cookies with the support of many people so that they could add food to children with atopy who were affected by the disaster. However, flour cookies that do not contain eggs, dairy products, or white sugar could not be eaten by people with flour allergies. We received direct inquiries from the local community, but at that time we were only making flour sweets, so we could not respond to their inquiries.
Recognizing our inadequacy, on November 27, 2011, we started "Okome no Okashi SWEETS AID" using 100% domestic rice flour, and we are manufacturing sweets under the theme of "Normal food where children with allergies and children without allergies can enjoy delicious sweets together."
