In 2006, we started a company that delivers global fashion items that value organic, fair trade, recycling, and upcycling to the people of Japan. WE ALSO OPERATE A RETAIL STORE CALLED FUZZBOXX GREEN GENERAL STORE. I started this project when I realized that clothing, clothing, and shelter, which are indispensable for our lives, have a heavy burden on the environment.
In the spring of 2020, an infectious disease struck the world, and as a result of various restrictions, economic stagnation began. Japan's fashion industry was also severely damaged, from manufacturing to retail. It had a big impact, but on the other hand, I think it just exposed "issues in the industry that we had pretended not to see." Supply that far exceeds demand can cause the market to lose its health. Cotton cultivation requires a lot of water, and chemical fertilizers kill the soil. How long can we continue to produce finite petroleum-derived materials? Do the people who work at the production site get paid enough to live happily? Where do the discarded clothes go? Disposables can't be made forever.
There are many movements seeking solutions to a number of social issues. We've started to do our own thing. FUZZBOXX is a small and grand project to keep fashion alive.
