Eero Vänttinen, the founder of Osmia Oy ltd, was born in the late 50s in a small village in western Finland. Since childhood, he has lived close to nature, cultivated plants, became familiar with the local forests and fields, and majored in chemistry at university. After accumulating extensive knowledge of floral and botanical scents, he developed his own fragrance oil at home. The first product is the scent of the sauna. Eero packed the aroma in small bottles and sold the finished product on a bicycle at the local market and a nearby gift shop, where Osmia's story began. The smell of steam was very well received, and the reputation of the real scented product quickly spread. Eero continued his research until he received his Ph.D. in chemistry at university, opening his first office in 1989. Heltoniemi, Helsinki.
