We are activists who love surfing and outdoor sports. The moment when we are enveloped by the rays of the sun, the waves of the sea, and the wind is our joie de vivre.
However, I didn't want to sacrifice this enjoyment and love of nature for the health of my skin and hair. With this in mind, "Moani Organics" was born.
In modern Japan, the word "whitening" has become commonplace, and many women are striving to maintain white skin. Protecting your skin with parasols and gloves is the result of an understanding of the sun's effects on skin aging. It is important to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays, but it does not limit the enjoyment and love of nature. I felt that I needed a product that would allow me to spend more time freely in the sunshine.
In the fall of 2013, we decided to give shape to the idea of balancing UV protection and outdoor life with Made In Japan organic cosmetics. Passion and questions about the product arose one after another, and we tackled a variety of topics, such as the environmental impact of sunscreen, what causes hair damage on the beach, products that can be used for children, the mysteries of allergies, the importance of fragrance, the exploration of effectiveness, the quality and ecology of packaging, legal regulations and organic certification.
In order to find answers to these questions, we held many meetings with many cosmetics factories and vendors in Japan and overseas. After three years of trial and error, we developed the first five products in cooperation with two of Japan's leading factories with international organic certification. Thus, in August 2016, the "Moani Organics" brand was born.
The name "Moani Organics" means "breeze from the sea" in Hawaiian. It is gentle and comfortable to use, and every time you use it, it reminds you of the beautiful sea of Hawaii. That's what we want.
"Moani Organics" is an option for the freedom to enjoy the sunshine and harmony with nature.
