When we first launched the brand, we started by making slightly unusual products such as "traveling feast cans" and "circular tea" that combine ingredients from Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka. From there, we focused more on local ingredients and producers, and rebranded to convey the charm of the region more deeply. We focus on products that are rooted in the community.
First of all, "canned food for traveling feasts". This is a project that makes use of local ingredients and delivers a slightly unusual dish canned. For example, we are devising ways to enjoy different flavors in each region, such as "Fukuyama cans" made with specialties from Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and "Tango cans" that make use of ingredients from the Tango area of Kyoto. By conveying not only the contents of the canned food, but also the thoughts and stories of the producers behind it, we make it possible for those who eat it to become familiar with the community.
The "Medicinal Tea" series is also popular. This is a tea that combines local ingredients with the wisdom of medicinal cuisine, such as "circulation tea" using spices from Hiroshima's Tomonoura sake and "touring indigo tea" using indigo leaves from Yamano Town. Together with tea shops and medicinal chefs, we are thinking of recipes that bring out the best in the ingredients. These products are not only delicious to drink, but also have a finish that allows you to feel the history, culture, and health of the region.
In addition, we are focusing on "creating a place" where you can enjoy food and taste. Mainly in Fukuoka, Hiroshima, and Kyoto, we hold a number of hands-on projects in collaboration with local people and businesses, such as craft beer and canned food pairing events, yoga and medicinal tea collaboration events, and local fieldwork tours. Through these events, we create opportunities not only to eat, but also to actually meet and interact with local people.
