Kuniko Tako learned about Akamoku, which began to gain popularity in the local area through her relationship with the Zushi City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and paid attention to its high nutritional value. We came up with the idea of developing a product that would help revitalize the town by using minerals, vitamins, polyphenols, and nutrient-rich akamoku, including fucoidan, a water-soluble dietary fiber that has been eaten since the Yamato period and has been sung as a synonym for beauty in the Manyoshu, as well as the topical fucoxanthin and nutrient-rich Akamoku.
While TAC21 is developing various foods with dried Akamoku, we started developing cosmetics using Akamoku extract in order to make it possible for many people to experience the moisturizing effect of fucoxanthin, which is abundant in Akamoku. Honey from rare Japan honey bees grown in the local area of Mt. Geiyama is also blended, and the cosmetics line "Geiyama Beauty" is born, which is full of the blessings of the sea and mountains of Zushi and Mt. Show.
