YOSHINORI　HASHIZAWA

Born in Tokyo in 1979. After graduating from the Faculty of Animal Sciences, Japan University of Veterinary and Life Sciences, he studied animal nutrition at Niigata University Graduate School and obtained a doctorate in agriculture. He is active in the livestock industry as an expert in animal nutrition both domestically and internationally. After moving to Chosei Village in Chiba Prefecture in 2019, he started beekeeping in 2020 with the desire to apply his knowledge and experience to the local environmental conservation. Received the 2024 Nippon Immigrant Award Special Prize from the Selection Committee. Currently, the couple produces, manufactures, and sells honey, and operates their own store, HANAP Factory Shop & Cafe.
