"I want to do something environmentally friendly, I want to increase the attractiveness of the Hokkaido region, and I want to do something about the gap between urban and rural education." While searching for a solution to these problems, we came to the conclusion that what we can do now is to make souvenirs and other products using local wood in the local area.
Souvenir goods are generally mass-produced in Chinese factories and imported. Plastic is often used as a material. Instead, Kumagera uses local wood and manufactures it locally, and is working to circulate it within the Hokkaido region. By doing so, you can reduce your environmental impact.
We hope that through fashionable souvenir goods made from locally produced wood, the attractiveness of the region will be enhanced as much as possible, and that people will become interested in the environment and wood.
We have big dreams.
Our goal is to create educational community spaces such as fab labs in order to raise the level of education in the countryside in Hokkaido. In the first step of raising funds and raising awareness, we manufacture and sell woodworking products. We would like to create a place where children and adults can gain expertise in various fields, work together, share information, and grow as a community.
