The reason we launched the Almond Butter brand goes back to our experience in California. When I first encountered almond butter locally, I was very surprised and wondered, "Is there butter made from almonds instead of peanut butter?" California supermarkets are filled with products made with almonds, and people can easily enjoy almonds in nature. Seeing people sharing almonds with family and friends by the seaside or in the mountains was very memorable, and I was drawn to the culture where almonds blend into everyday life.
Learning that over 80% of the world's almonds are produced in California made me feel the connection between land and food, and the richness of living in harmony with nature. Even after returning to Japan, I couldn't forget the taste of almond butter and the atmosphere from back then, and I strongly wanted to spread this deliciousness and fun in Japan as well.
When we first launched the brand, our motivation was to let more people know about almond butter, which is still unfamiliar in Japan. However, as I continued my activities, I came to think not only of delivering products but also of proposing "deliciousness," "fun," and "an active lifestyle" through almonds, delivering values that uplift both body and mind.
Our goal is to share the joy of eating almonds and the richness of living in harmony with nature, while making the most of the nutrition of almonds and the blessings of nature. Right next to Ajigaura Coast in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, we carefully make almond butter one by one while gazing at the sea and recalling the air and scenery we felt back then.
