We need more delicious chocolate in our lives.
― Thoughts of CHOCOLATE ORANDA ―
The Netherlands used to be a chocolate powerhouse where cocoa from all over the world gathered.
Created innovative technology represented by "Van Houten Cocoa",
Amsterdam is still known as one of the world's leading cocoa importers.
However, in recent years, only a few artisans in the Netherlands have explored cocoa in depth and created essential chocolate.
In the meantime, we met Heinde &Verre.
The moment I took a bite of the chocolate during my stay in the Netherlands, I was struck by the depth and aroma of the cocoa that woke me up, and I immediately visited the workshop in Rotterdam.
There were two craftsmen, Jan Willem and Ewald.
About 10 years ago, they ate Bean to Bar chocolate at an airport bar on their way back from a ski trip to Italy, and they set out to revive the Dutch chocolate culture because they thought that "we need more delicious chocolate in our lives."
Heinde &Verre blends fine flavored cacao from around the world with fine ingredients from the Netherlands to create a simple yet surprisingly rich flavor.
The brand name, "Heinde (near) &Verre", embodies the philosophy of harmonizing cacao that reaches from afar with the bounty of the Netherlands that is close to us.
We, CHOCOLATE ORANDA, were born from the desire to deliver the "quiet excitement" of this chocolate to Japan.
Now that there are so many chocolates, I really want to respect the ingredients and convey that they are carefully made. That's our mission.
