There were two craftsmen, Jan Willem and Ewald.
About 10 years ago, they ate Bean to Bar chocolate at an airport bar on their way back from a ski trip to Italy, and they set out to revive the Dutch chocolate culture because they thought that "we need more delicious chocolate in our lives."
 
 
 
Heinde &Verre blends fine flavored cacao from around the world with fine ingredients from the Netherlands to create a simple yet surprisingly rich flavor.

What are we doing?

To unlock the full potential of rare organic fine-flavored cocoa. That is the philosophy of Heinde &Welle.
 
Bean to Bar chocolate is made from rare fine-flavored cacao, which is said to account for only 5%~15% of the world's cacao harvest. We use only traceable organically grown cacao purchased directly from farmers and agricultural associations, and by having producers receive fair compensation, we give back to our employees and the natural environment surrounding cocoa.
 
 
 
As for ingredients other than cocoa, we use traditional Dutch ingredients such as whole Dutch milk, beet sugar, and bastard sugar. Not only does it have the least travel distance, but it also has benefits in terms of the environment and cost, and it also ensures traceability for producers.
In addition, slow food techniques such as grinding chocolate with a stone mill, as was done in windmills in the Zaan region of the Netherlands, and roasting methods tailored to the flavor of cocoa are adopted. This gives it a special chocolate texture that is not found in mass-produced products.
 
 
 
 
The plant's power and heat sources are powered exclusively by Dutch traceable green wind energy, resulting in zero carbon emissions in the production process. We aim to use raw materials of the highest quality and rich taste while minimizing the impact on the environment.
