At Madmadre, we constantly strive and take on various challenges to realize our philosophy of 'turning 'Mottainai' into reality. First, the main raw material, non-standard vegetables, are sourced directly from local farmers in Hokkaido. Even if the shape and color vary, vegetables that retain the same taste and nutrition are carefully selected and processed into pastes or powders for use in sweets.
In the product manufacturing site, people with disabilities are responsible for processes such as sticker application, packaging, and sales. Each step is done by hand, and their meticulous work contributes to the warmth and high quality of the products. We also manufacture paper bags in-house and are working to reduce plastic pollution. These activities reflect Mademoidre's commitment to balancing environmental consideration with welfare.
Furthermore, we have obtained Sapporo City's "Sapporo HACCP 1-Star" certification, demonstrating a thorough commitment to hygiene management and quality. To ensure you can enjoy it with peace of mind, we pay close attention to ingredient traceability and allergy labeling.
Recently, we have also been focusing on developing new products through collaboration among industry, academia, government, finance, agriculture, and welfare. We bring together the strengths of various fields such as universities, government agencies, financial institutions, farmers, and welfare facilities to take on the challenge of solving local issues and creating new value. For example, products utilizing local resources are being developed, such as Hokkaido University's raspberries and local strawberries, a rice flour called 'madonu.'
In this way, Mademoladre aims to be a bridge connecting "food" and "welfare," as well as environment and "community," and continues its daily activities.
