A comprehensive regional brand that delivers deliciousness and richness
Located in the southern part of Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu, the hometown of Kumagawa Artisans, the Hitoyoshi Kuma region is located in a basin where rapids run like veins.
The writer Ryotaro Shiba called this place "the richest hidden village". The fertile land nurtured by mountains and water produces incredibly rich agricultural resources.
This project was started with the aim of delivering untouched seasonal gems to everyone's hands together with local artisans from everyday life where the richness of the land and people that cannot be seen in the city is commonplace.
We aim to create a society in which the younger generation can settle in the region with U-turns and I-turns, creating a stable future by creating jobs through the rise of local industries, establishing a business model that connects Japan and the rest of the world while staying in rural areas, and raising the income level of local cities.
At the same time, we will increase Japan's food self-sufficiency rate by increasing the economic effect on farmers and encouraging them to pass it on to the next generation.
We hope to help make the world a better place by keeping the traditions and culture that have been nurtured from the Jomon and Yayoi periods to the present day, and sharing the rich lifestyles unique to healthy and fulfilling regions not only with residents but also with related and interacting populations.
The people who walk with us are young and old, men and women, producer Mr./Ms.s who risk their lives to make food for Japan, artisans (craftsmen) who are in charge of manufacturing and processing, and people who are responsible for on-time delivery, and Kumagawa Artisans is here.
