Our company, which proposes modern Japan culture, provides Japan tea, sells Japan tea, proposes menus, and other branding of producers in Kyoto, which is a concept shop and office "◯ma".
It was the tea ceremony that made me realize the meaning and charm of the things around me and the things I was doing casually.
The perspective gained from this is in line with the direction of the design that I have been making myself, and I launched this brand to express the provision of not only things but also sensory things related to them (five senses, time, etc.) and to embody the essential richness.
We want to provide an experience in which the world looks different from yesterday by traversing food, clothing, housing, design, art, etc. in all directions, and standing in between.
What are we doing?
I try to create a worldview that feels like it's been around for a long time, but feels a little uncomfortable with the newness there, and tickles my curiosity.
In order to achieve this, we must continue to learn traditional things and learn the essence with the knowledge we have gained there. Then, from there, we find and express different aspects by considering contemporaneity.
This is where it gets interesting, even though it sometimes takes a lot more effort than creating something from scratch.
