At Frogmore Creek, we take advantage of the cool climate and rich soils of southern Tasmania to make wines that bring out the best in the character of the land. All of their wines are made from grapes carefully grown in their own vineyards, and they value manual work from harvesting to vinification and bottling.
The concept of winemaking is "symbiosis with nature". It minimizes the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, utilizing cover crops and organic fertilizers to protect soil health. In addition, by carefully observing the growth status of the grapes and harvesting them at the optimal time, we bring out the original flavor, acidity, and aroma of the grapes to the fullest.
In winemaking, we use methods that take advantage of the individuality of the grapes, such as fermentation by natural yeast and low-temperature fermentation, without human intervention as much as possible. This results in wines with delicate and depth that reflects the terroir of the land.
Frogmore Creek wines have a sustainability-focused production background. We are promoting initiatives to reduce environmental impact, such as conserving water resources, improving energy efficiency, and recycling waste. It also collaborates with local producers and communities, helping to revitalize the local economy.
One of the challenges in product manufacturing was responding to climate change and natural disasters unique to Tasmania. However, each time, the team has worked together to overcome it and cultivate stronger bonds and technical skills. These experiences give Frogmore Creek's wines depth and warmth.
We will continue to convey the blessings of nature and people's thoughts through wine and aim for a sustainable future.
