The brand is based on the concept of "sweets that people and dogs can eat together". The reason was that I wanted to share the same things with my precious family with peace of mind in my days spent with my dog.
He thought that dogs and people could create a deeper bond by sitting around the same table and tasting the same treats.
Pets are welcomed as "family" and their presence enriches our hearts. I myself am one of them, and I have received a lot of healing from my dog.
There were times when I just wanted to be happy, and even though I knew it was not good, I would give him what I was eating, and I would feel guilty.
In addition, many additives and preservatives are used in dog treats, and when I thought about what kind of snacks are safe, I felt that there were surprisingly few of them.
Therefore, I decided to use my experience as a pastry chef to make sweets that the whole family can enjoy without feeling guilty, and started prototyping in 2021.
After a year of repeated prototypes over and over again, I finally came up with a snack that I was satisfied with. That is the current snack of SHIKI.
Our goal is not just to "eat", but to make family time more enjoyable and bonding. Through treats, dogs and people want to feel the same happiness and increase the moments when their hearts communicate. With such a wish, SHIKI works hard to make sweets every day.
