Against the backdrop of Shinshu's rich natural materials and traditional Japanese candle techniques, we are engaged in candle production and expression activities that create "quiet margins" in the space. Utilizing the knowledge of visual communication cultivated in my work in publishing design, we are sublimating products with the experiential value of not just candles as lighting fixtures, but the moment they are lit, the "quality of time" changes the moment they are lit.
Specifically, we choose materials inspired by the four seasons of Shinshu and develop unique creations that incorporate the stories of the land. Department stores and galleries such as Isetan Shinjuku and Mitsukoshi Ginza have presented installations centered on the interaction between light and space, and in recent years, they have expanded their expression to overseas markets, including Taiwan.
As "Yoyo Co., Ltd.", which was incorporated in 2024, it spans everything from the production of one-of-a-kind items based on the artist's individual sensibilities, to brand management and educational business. By consistently working on everything from production to verbalization of ideas, he proposes a multifaceted approach to the "ideal way of lighting" that is deeply rooted in modern life.
