In Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, a place rich in nature, the story of "Matsie Honey" began. In Heisei 16, a swarm of bees that had split their bees (hive) came to my garden by chance.
I wanted to keep bees and make honey, so I consulted with the head of the Matsue Beekeeping Association in the neighborhood, rented a hive, and placed it under a cherry tree in the garden.
A month later, the first homemade honey I picked tasted completely different from the commercially available one. The rich sweetness of the texture and the scent of flowers gently spreads in your mouth. The whole family was impressed by its deliciousness.
Later, when he tasted the "cherry blossom single nectar" he found at a honey specialty store in Kyoto, he was once again impressed, saying, "It's the same as the taste I had back then." From this experience, I decided to start beekeeping in earnest.
At first, beekeeping started as a hobby, but it became so deep and interesting that it spread its reputation to friends and acquaintances. With the desire to "let more people know about this high-quality honey," we consulted with a store that handles local products, and in Heisei 20, it was branded as "Matsue Honey".
We want to deliver the blessings of nature to everyone in their original form, so we continue to carefully make honey as a family. The taste and excitement of each flower are put into each bottle.
