At Hiiragi Farm, we mainly grow vegetables such as onions and Jerusalem artichokes that support a refreshing daily life. We call such vegetables "subtle vegetables".
The main crop is the superfood "moringa" native to India.
It contains more than 90 kinds of nutrients and is said to be the plant with the most nutrients on earth, and is attracting attention all over the world.
We carefully hand-pick these young leaves one by one and dry them at low temperature using our own method. As a tea or powder, it is processed so that it can be incorporated into the daily life of those who are conscious of nutritional balance.
In addition, crops containing a variety of nutrients, such as kikui, onions, turmeric, garlic, and boysenberry, are carefully grown using mineral natural farming methods.
The farm's rice fields draw in pure water flowing from the granite mountains, and since there are no private houses or factories in the surrounding area, it is grown in an environment surrounded by natural water and air.
In addition, after harvesting, compost is sprinkled on the rice fields and efforts are made to prepare the soil. The location with a large temperature difference between day and night also enhances the taste and flavor of the crops.
Our mission is to deliver safe, secure, and delicious vegetables that do not rely on pesticides and cherish the environment in which aquatic creatures such as water striders and gengoro live.
