At ILA, we strive for the highest levels of purity of nature and ethics, working directly with growers and farmers to support local communities and bringing ancient wisdom to the present day. Each ingredient is painstakingly sourced for its physical, emotional and spiritual effects.
For example, I spent two years looking for damask roses. Harvested in the foothills of the Himalayas in India, this rose is harvested wild at dawn to maintain the highest vibrations. Only one drop of oil is produced from the petals of 38 flowers.
For our production site, we chose the Cotswolds, a beautiful rural town in England, so that you can feel the pure and natural vibration of the earth. ILA's artisanal skincare products are consciously hand-blended in a calm and loving environment so as not to destroy the pure energy of nature.
The manufacturing team blends, measures, and packages by hand while listening to Denis' blissful Indian raga CDs, infusing every product with positive energy and blessings. It's a rare work environment that can relieve stress for workers, but ILA's manufacturing team says they feel calm within 20 minutes of arriving at work.
The ILA family stretches from its heart in the Cotswolds, England, through the foothills of the Himalayas, deep in the Amazon rainforest, to countless communities and cooperatives in Morocco, India, Brazil, Pakistan and Bhutan.
